Good news... Our club can proudly say we have been awarded “CBRE / RFU All Schools Funding",
Rugby union is a game for All Schools – everyone can play it and every school can teach it. CBRE All Schools has been developed by the RFU to increase the amount of rugby in schools, and to encourage new players to join local clubs.
CBRE All Schools, launched in September 2012, aims to increase the number of secondary state schools playing rugby union.
From 2012 rugby is being taken into 750 state secondary schools with the aim of making school life happier and healthier, reducing anti-social behaviour, enhancing learning and increasing self-esteem for students. In partnership with the Rugby Football Foundation we will create a positive legacy for 1 million children through rugby and its core values.
Club Chairman Bill Browne has said "he is delighted to have negotiated this funding with the help of the RFU, this funding will contribute toward the role of the CDO and is an important formal link to the local schools which in turn will help deliver the All schools program"
